Sebo – player of the month in Valenciennes!

The 23-year-old Slovakian who temporarily left the Scottish giant Glasgow Rangers despite enjoying a cult hero status has just recently been awarded the player of the month trophy in France.

Filip has joined the ambitious French team on loan in August and it looks like he is beginning to establish himself in a new country, which for him is the third within the last three seasons.

Fila9, as a tatoo on his hand says as well, has been voted for player of the month by every 4th fan in Valenciennes, winning first place with more than 25%. The competition was not a small one, with the popular defender Rudi Mater and skipper Steve Savidan just behind Filip.

The award has come just in time for Filip as a good satisfaction for his performances that helped the team climb up the league table to a surprising 4th place, just behind Lyon, Nice and Le Mans.

The Slovak international has played a big part when starting 6 out of the last 7 games, scoring a vital goal in the French cup and adding another two in the league against Cannes.

According to va-fc.com it was more or less his “double” against a strong side that has won Filip the “Euro Info” Trophy.

“I didn´t even know about it until my media manager Michal Matejovic has sent me a message. I am happy of course,” reacted the player himself, adding that he “needs to feel good and be relaxed as every other player” and that is how he feels now according to his later words.
